GETTING LORA AND WMBUS KEYS

Please Note: This guide is solely for BMeters direct clients. If you bought our devices from one of our resellers please contact them to receive your keys. 

 

In compliance with the European regulatory framework on cybersecurity and data protection, all BMeters devices are manufactured with preconfigured individual encryption in order to prevent unauthorized access to readings and to ensure their integrity, validity, and security.

Below is how to obtain the encryption keys:

  • Access the KeyGenerator platform from the following link: http://keygenerator.bmetering.com/
  • Log In using the credentials given by BMeters
  • Enter point 6 "Display wM-Bus Keys"

 

  • To obtain the keys, perform a search using the order number, the delivery note (DDT) number, or the meter serial number. Based on the information available, fill in the corresponding field and press the “Filter” button.

  • Once the keys appear on the screen, it will be possible to download a .CSV file containing keys and serial numbers or, alternatively, the .KEYS file required to perform the readings, which can be imported into our software.

 

Each LoRaWAN device is supplied with security keys already preconfigured. These keys are required for provisioning, wich is the association and configuration between the device and the network server, ensuring secure and correct communication between the parties.

Below is how to obtain the LoRaWAN keys:

  • Access the KeyGenerator platform from the following link: http://keygenerator.bmetering.com/
  • Log In using the credentials given by BMeters

  • Enter point 5 "Display LoRa Keys"

  • To obtain the keys, perform a search using the order number, the delivery note (DDT) number, or the meter serial number. Based on the information available, fill in the corresponding field and press the “Filter” button.

  • Once the keys appear on the screen, it will be possible to download a .CSV file containing the keys and serial numbers.

     

    It will be possible to configure the automatic sending of the keys (both LoRa keys and wMBus encryption keys) as follows:

  • In the box, input the Email on wich you want to receive the keys.

  • Press "Save"
