The Hydrocal-M4 heat meter and the Hydrodigit-S1, Hydrodigit-M1 and Hydrosonic water meters aren't produced with a wired MBus output. In order to integrate said devices in an implant with a preexisting Mbus network, it will be necessary to use an IR-MB-Pulse. This module obtains the readings using the optical port of the devices, transmitting their data directly via wired MBus.
The installation procedure is the following:
- Configure the device using the BMetering NFC Config app (step required for Hydrocal-M4 only)
Remove the insert covers on the sides of the device's optical port
Clean the optical port using a clean and dry cloth to guarantee communication with the module
Screw the module to the meter, then place the rubber covers
Note: In the IR-MB-Pulse's package there are two screw kits. A shorter type, wich is used for Hydrodigit-S1, and a longer type used for Hydrosonic and Hydrocal-M4
Press the T1 or T2 button (step required for Hydrocal-M4 only)
Pass a magnet on the right side of the module to begin the pairing procedure (for the Hydrocal-M4, within 30 seconds of pressing the buttons)
If installed onto an Hydrocal-M4, the IR-MB-Pulse module allows to connect two pulse modules, allowing to send the data of two water meters together with the data of the meter it is installed onto. It will be possible to configure both impulsive inputs using the BMetering NFC App.
Please note: the IR-MB-Pulse CAN ONLY ACCEPT PULSE MODULES. Connecting a wired MBus module won't work and could damage both devices.
Below is the color scheme of the module's cables:
| White [+] | MBus positive |
| Yellow [+] | Positive pulse input 2 |
| Green [-] | Negative pulse inputs (1 and 2) |
| Gray [+] | Positive impulse input 1 |
| Brown [-] | MBus negative |
Note: The MBus cables have no polarity
