Using Bmetering software, it is possible to perform a Force Join on the device in case of communication failure between the server and BMETERS devices.
Below is a brief guide on the key steps, taking as an example one of our meter models, Hydrodigit - S1.
First step, obtain the UC-Cable tool and proceed with its configuration, making sure it is connected to the PC’s USB port and that the correct COM port (IR Port) is selected.
Note: remember to refresh (image) the IR Port section as soon as the UC-Cable is connected to the PC, checking if the section updates and the correct COM port appears.
Select the Configuration tab from the menu (image):
Then, select the desired window based on the module to be configured:
Next, select the parameters you wish to configure:
- WM-BUS only (low antenna)
- Combo (allows configuration of both LoRaWAN and WM-BUS parameters)
Proceed to initialize the meter by placing the UC-CABLE cable on its optical port.
Click the Force Configuration button and wait a few seconds.
The configuration is considered complete only after the appearance of the successful configuration window “Operation successful.”
To activate radio transmission, it is necessary to pass 5 liters forward or use the Ignore 5Lt function.
In case of sudden disconnection, proceed with Force Join using the Force Join command.
The button can force the join attempt on devices, both waiting ± 5 liters and already joined.
Finally, regarding the radio reset, which is useful to reset the radio transmission status, it is performed by clicking the dedicated command found on the Bmetering Software interface, as shown below:
